Women’s High Jump

World youth silver medalist Amy Pejkovic and 2006 Commonwealth Games representative Claire Mallett will go head to head in a high jump challenge. Pejkovic, a catwalk model, is earmarked as one of the bright hopes for Australian Athletics and has a number of high profile supporters including world discus champion Dani Samuels and IBO world cruiserweight boxing champion Danny Green, who helped her compete for Australia in Canada recently.  Mallet is on the comeback from injury and will use this event as the beginning of her quest for glory at the London Olympics. Her personal conditioner Paul Watson once famously said Mallet will not only reach for the stars but pluck one out of the sky. September 15 is her chance.
