Upon becoming the world's youngest ever discus world champion in 2009 Samuels was quoted as saying: "After watching Danny Green train I developed a new mindset towards my training, I thought I trained hard but he was incredible". Green has been a constant source of support to Samuels, and he gets behind all of Competitive Edge's athletes.  His own fitness levels are legendary, he holds many records in the Parramatta Eels gymnasium for his strength and endurance. In December 2009 he shocked the boxing world when, as the 5/1 underdog he needed just 122 violent seconds to destroy American Hall of Famer, Roy Jones jr. The victory has ensured Green joined the likes of Les Darcy by enter Australian sporting folklore. It was rated by many critics as the nation’s greatest victory in the boxing ring. An all-heart warrior, Green is guaranteed to go-for-broke in his track debut.
